St. Clements is a community located within the township of Wellesley, and is part of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. The village of St. Clements was first settled by Roman Catholics, and by 1853, these residents had built a church to move their place of worship outside of their homes. The building of this church sparked the growth of the area, and soon St. Clements had a number of small businesses and a large sawmill. Today, the village is still a small community, and is home to just 1,200 residents.
Residents of St. Clements and the surrounding areas enjoy recreational activities all year around at the St. Clements Community Centre, which features a community hall, ice rink, picnic area, playground, baseball diamond, soccer fields, horseshoe pits and more.
